How long do I have to stay in the hospital?
You will stay in the hospital until as long as it takes to become self-sufficient. Although it can vary, the hospital stay (including the day of surgery) can be one to two days for a laparoscopic Lap Band procedure, two to three days for a laparoscopic gastric bypass and three to seven days for an open gastric bypass procedure.
