Kathy Carmichael

Ms. Carmichael received her Master of Science in Nursing from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee in 2005. She is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Previous education included a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas (although a big Texas A&M fan).

 

Prior to becoming a team member at Foundation Surgical Hospital, she worked as an RN in emergency departments in Texas and Oklahoma for 16 years. While enjoying the ER department and its challenges, she came to a sincere belief that many illnesses could be avoided with patient education and lifestyle changes. A desire to help people reach their best wellness potential is one reason she decided to further her nursing career by becoming a practitioner. She enjoys working with a connected team from different disciplines who work to achieve the same goal for their patients – improved health and a better life.

In her spare time Kathy enjoys spending time with Hannah, Hayley, Owen and Jack – her great nieces and nephews
